My name is Bethany and I am currently starting out in college and moved out a few months ago. Recently, I've broken my ankle pretty severely in two spots, which caused me to need surgery to fix it. During this time, I couldn't be in college this quarter because they wouldn't accommodate my situation, and I haven't been able to work since the beginning of January. I work as a home care aide and due to my injury, I won't be able to return to work until late March. I am struggling with bills. I tried to get medical leave, but because this is a new job, I don't have the hours to get medical leave, so I am currently left with no way to get income before my bills come. I am still new and still trying to figure out my new life and find a way through my injury, but I am out of options.
