I would like to share with you the journey of my best friend Bethany Blessing.
Bethany is 23 years young. She is currently a cosmetologist at a local salon where she pursues her passion each and everyday. She has a wonderful man in her life who is a Rottweiler bull mastif and is named Otis. 4 years ago, Bethany was experiencing frequent pain. This pain began to worsen over a short period of time. She started to experience bouts of nausea, vertigo, and diplopia. So she did what any one of us would do. Called her doctor. Countless appointments and countless medications to mask the pain and figure out the source, she was diagnosed with Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a disorder in which the tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus. Over the years her diagnosis worsened. Then Bethany was diagnosed with Adenomyosis, which is when endometrial tissue exists within and grows into the uterine wall. This causes tremendous pelvic floor pain and discomfort throughout your body. An invisible disease to some, but to Bethany it became debilitating.
Bethany received surgery on 1/24/17. A full hysterectomy as well as an appendectomy to remove all of the endometrial tissue that's grown on her reproductive system and to finally give her relief from her chronic pain. This surgery has a recovery time of 6+ weeks. During those 6 weeks she will be unable to work and it will be months until she can even work close to full time. I am asking for any kind of donation whether big or small, to help Bethany during her recovery period. My goal is 3,000 $ This would help with her medical bills/ medications, hospital stay and day to day living. Thank you for all of your prayers and support!!! They're deeply appreciated.
