A very special puppy could use your help!
Update-
On December 7th, sweet Calliope had to be put down. The doctors did what they could to help her but didn’t think she could take anymore. Any funds raised will help cover the vet bills and then cremation costs.
Bethany and Ben Crevensten have dealt in adoption of special needs animals for over 10 years. In addition to raising and successfully rehoming two stray litters of kittens, they are honored to have their 10 year old Aussie Cattle mix who is deaf.
Bethany has always had a special place in her heart for the less fortunate animals to the point of where all she wanted for her wedding gift was a senior rescue (Skye) from MADACC that was left blind due to glaucoma. After Skye’s passing, Bethany truly felt lost until she came across a very special pup that became their most recent adoptee.
A tiny little deaf pup Catahoula mix name Calliope.
Calliope's adventure with the family started off as normal as can be. She was aloof, happy and full of ALL the energy. She loves walks, playing with active toys and SNACKS! All the snacks. Sadly, at roughly 10 months of age Calliope began showing signs that something just wasn't quite right and thus, the medical investigations began.
At almost a year old now, this little lady has undergone countless tests. The most recent of which has shown signs of a severe liver issue that has led to many potential outcomes. The next steps of CT scans and more testing will not only be a monetary strain but an absolute emotional rollercoaster as the family awaits results. Calliope has been a warrior so far and, no doubt, will continue to be until the answers are revealed.
This couple and their animal focused home could definitely use the gift of generosity this holiday season and they will, undoubtably, be incredibly gracious of any form possible.
