Help Bethanie Walker & new son reestablish their lives

Donation protected
Bethanie Walker attends Salem County Mennonite Church in New Jersey. Her husband, Collin Walker, is currently incarcerated in California awaiting trial. Collin and Bethanie are newlyweds, and shortly after their marriage, Bethanie became pregnant with their first child.

Collin came from a difficult and unstable upbringing, but five years ago he found the Lord alongside his future wife, Bethanie. Since that time, Collin has worked hard to build a new life—becoming a devoted husband, a caring friend, and a productive, faithful individual. Unfortunately, actions from his past resurfaced, and he was arrested and sent to California to face trial for alleged internet-related crimes. What his actual involvement may have been remains unclear, but as believers, we are reminded that God cares not about who we were, but who we are becoming in Him.

Since Collin’s incarceration, Bethanie has relied heavily on the love and generosity of family, friends, and the church community. During this time, Bethanie gave birth to their son, Coleson Walker, who is now nine months old. While welcoming Coleson has been a tremendous blessing, it has also brought additional responsibilities and expenses during an already challenging season.

Due to rising costs and being the sole provider for herself and her son, Bethanie was forced to move out of her home. She and Coleson are now living in a very small tiny house on the property of a church member. Though the space is extremely limited for a mother and infant, Bethanie is deeply grateful for the Lord’s provision and the kindness shown to her.

Bethanie is currently seeking work that will allow her to continue caring for Coleson while providing additional income. In the meantime, she remains dependent on the generosity of friends and family, and she is sincerely thankful for every single dollar that has been donated so far.

Recently, another unexpected hardship arose: the transmission in Bethanie’s car failed, and the repair is expected to cost several thousand dollars. Reliable transportation is essential for work, medical appointments, and daily needs, and this has added significant strain to an already difficult situation. We are trusting and praying that God will once again provide.

All funds raised through this fundraiser go solely toward supporting Bethanie and Coleson—covering basic living expenses, childcare needs, transportation, and other necessities. None of the funds are used for any other purpose.

Collin’s court date has been postponed multiple times and is now scheduled for late May. The continued delays add emotional and financial strain, and we ask for ongoing prayer that God’s will would be done, that the courts would be guided with wisdom, and that Collin would be protected during this process.

Bethanie has placed her life fully in God’s hands and continues forward with faith, humility, and perseverance. On behalf of the family, we want to sincerely thank everyone who has given, prayed, shared, and supported them through this journey.

We know we are asking a great deal, but if you feel led, we humbly ask for your continued support—especially in light of these new challenges. Any amount, no matter how small, truly helps. Please consider sharing this fundraiser with anyone who may be able to assist.

Thank you for standing with Bethanie and Coleson during this difficult season.
May God bless you for your generosity.
