My name is Tamar Teller, and I have been friends with Beth and Dan for over 16 years. We first met through our youngest daughters, who began spending time together in daycare when they were just 1.5 years old. As our daughters grew up together, so did our bond. Over the years, we have become like family to one another, especially since both of our families live far away from our own relatives.
When I heard the news of our dear friend Beth being diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time last spring, I wanted to do something to help them get through it, as I knew these times are hard already.
Beth has spent much of 2024 undergoing surgery and chemotherapy, but the good news is she’s nearing the end of her treatments, with a positive prognosis ahead. She has one more surgery scheduled for the new year and is excited for a fresh start.
Unfortunately, Beth and Dan are now facing unexpected medical bills totaling around $45,000, as Dan's international insurance policy reached its annual cap, leaving them with uncovered expenses from Beth's hospitalizations and chemotherapy. Despite their efforts to negotiate these unanticipated costs, their first appeal to the insurance company has been denied.
While they’ve been hesitant to ask for help, any contribution to ease this financial burden would be greatly appreciated. Beth has continued to work full-time throughout her treatment and has chosen not to share her situation on social media for professional reasons, but please feel free to share this campaign with anyone who may wish to support our friends!
