Building Beth McGee's Art & Music Studio
Donation protected
Beth McGee is one of the most creative, motivated, and dedicated educators I know. She is an exceptional artist, costumer, and musician. Beth puts her heart and soul into all that she encounters. After an unfortunate series of events (to put it mildly), Beth will no longer be teaching art at the elementary school where she has worked for many years. I spoke with Beth about the challenges she has had to face and at this point, she is trying to look to the future. Her students’ families offered to raise money to hire a lawyer but instead Beth really wants to build something where she could still work with kid artists. Wouldn't it be amazing if there was something we could do to help Beth move forward with her career? Let's help her build her dream studio in her backyard! Knowing Beth, she will transform it into a magical place where she can continue to teach young artists in her community after school and summer art camp classes. She could even teach piano lessons in the space as well! And, it will be a place for Beth to go to focus on her own work as an artist and musician. The funds you donate will be used for preliminary ground preparation and concrete pad, building supplies (including lumber, nails, insulation, drywall, etc.), windows, a wood stove, lighting, and shelving for organizing art materials. We are hoping to receive enough donations so we can start building around October 1st of this year. That way, she and her students will be snug and cozy in the studio by the time snow arrives. Thank you for any support you can give to Beth!
