On February 5, 2024, Beth was driving Dunlap School bus #50 nearly full of students when a truck pulled in front of her at an intersection and pulled right out in front of her, causing her to slam on her brakes, narrowly miss an electrical generator, descend down a steep hill off the road, and headfirst into a commercial brick building.

Students testify hearing her yelling for them to "get down" and "brace themselves" for impact, all while maintaining control of the bus, knowing impact was coming. She avoided a street generator and controlled the bus, so it did not flip. After the accident, although slightly injured, she ensured all of the kids got safety off the bus. 

Ms. Beth is the reason all of the parents are holding their kids again tonight. She is their selfless guardian angel and deserves to be recognized by this community as a hero.
