Hi I’m Beth and a few years ago I became really ill to the point where I was bed bound for 3 months, following this I had a lot of doctors and specialists appointments, and finally they found out I have Fibromyalgia and Hypermobility, after paying for a private rheumatologist as unfortunately the NHS is understaffed and the waitlists are super long - (I had already been diagnosed with Alopecia, Eczema, Asthma, PCOS, Depression & Anxiety) I am also currently being investigated for POTS and endometriosis. During the winter I really struggle with my mobility, to the point where I hire a manual wheelchair, however I cannot self propel due to the level of pain I experience and the energy this exerts which is already limited due to my fatigue. I want to raise money to be able to buy an electric wheelchair which means I can regain my independence during the half of the year where my pain greatly limits my ability to function - I can’t go to the supermarket to get shopping bits without using the shop mobility scheme, I can’t go to the christmas markets for more than 5 minutes max which we would do every year before all this happened, and I can’t go out with my friends as any normal 26 year old would be doing otherwise.

I just want my social life and general life to be better for the cold parts of the year where I’m currently stuck in one or two rooms currently.
