In March of 2015, Beth was diagnosed with stage 3a Breast Cancer. She then Had a bilateral mastectomy, followed by 20 rounds of Chemotherapy and 4 weeks of Radiation therapy, then came reconstruction surgery. She has been taking hormone therapy since in the form of pills daily. On December 26, 2019 she fainted in the bathroom and our daughter Kailani called 911, the ambulance brought her to St. John's hospital. She was nauseous, dizzy, and had a heavy feeling in her chest. After about 5 hrs in the Emergency room, they could not find out what was causing her to be feeling so poorly. They then did a CT scan to check for blood clots and we found out that she had lesions in her bones and some fractures in her vertebrae and ribs, but had sustained no injuries. We had a consult with our Oncologist the next day, they did further testing and a PET scan. She had a diagnosis of Metastatic Breast Cancer stage 4, that has spread throughout all her bones and also some spots on her liver. She started injections, 4 each month to shut down her ovaries and suppress her estrogen receptors in her body, another injection to strengthen her bones and twice daily pills to piggyback on the hormone therapy. Since 12/26/19, she started radiation to help kill some of the cancer in her neck that was causing her extreme pain. Radiation finished 1/31/20 and has helped greatly with her pain. On 2/1/20 in the early afternoon she had the chills badly and a fever of 101.6, we went directly to the ER and they again did a lot of testing. The findings were: her White Blood Cells, Red Blood Cells, Platelets, and Hemoglobin were very low. They admitted her to the hospital and performed a blood transfusion and constant broad spectrum antibiotics and fluids for 2 days. She was released from the hospital on 2/3/20.
We are trying to raise some money to help pay for medical bills, any support is very much appreciated! We have had a lot of friends and family that have already donated home cooked meals to us and have helped with taking the girls to and from soccer and school. This has been so helpful and we can feel the love. I don't know how to even put into words how much this means to our family and how helpful it has been!
On behalf of the Frisch family, we greatly appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support over the past month and the months to come.
Thank you, we Love You All!
