Beta Theta Pi & Susan G. Komen Foundation
Tax deductible
The University of Miami’s Eta Beta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi is honored to be working with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which has the goal of reducing the number breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. Our chapter has set our fundraising goal at $10,000 to aid in the fight against breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States, with statistics showing that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with the disease during their lifetime. Thankfully, the Komen Foundation has donated more than $988 million to breast cancer research, the most of any nonprofit charity. Supporting the Komen Foundation not only helps advance research, but also aids in providing quality care to all affected.
This year one of our brothers lost his mother to breast cancer. We are raising funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation in memory of her life. We all have been affected by breast cancer in some regard. So please consider donating any amount to help our fraternity aid in the fight against breast cancer.
