Be Still Baby Girl

Good day my friends! ☕️

Today I am launching a gofundme for my kids in Uganda.

This particular fundraiser will cover 3 basic and vital needs:

1. Electricity so they're not in the dark when the sun goes down.

2.
A 3 stall toliet outhouse that flushes, including an in home toilet to use the restroom at night and dispose of their old pit latrine thats currently is non-functioning.

3.
Remaining school fees & debts for this past year for five of our kids...

*(This also includes Gofundme's crazy fee and wiring fees.)

I was talking with my girl Ethel out there in Uganda and she was really concerned because her city council sent her letter stating she needs to get rid of her old non functioning outhouse and have a plan for where they will be using the restroom by May 31st.

I found myself encouraging her to not worry and to just "BE STILL" & know that God is able.

I almost said it too casually though and caught myself.

It's so much easier for me here in America to say,
“Be Still” as I sip my coffee, enjoy my wifi, electricity & working toilet.  Things, I admit, I take for granted daily.

Man, may we be grateful for all the little things that are actually HUGE things to some…

Be still?

Hmm...as I pondered on that phrase “be still,” my prayer turned into, "Lord as she is in Uganda praying and believing You for her next meal, needs for her home, funds for the kids school fees, & miracles from heaven, I too will "be still" and trust You're going to work things out in her favor, while I do something about it...while WE do something about it.

You have a chance to play a part in her answered prayer today.

I'm praying & believing God for 100 friends to give $24 by May 30th!  or 24 friends to give $100 :)

If times are rough for you, I understand!!

Give $12! and find friends to match your $12.  :)
Old school, "I gotchu"

My hope is that we will meet this need before Memorial Day Weekend!

Thank you so much!!

For those of you who like more history & details...

I met Eseri (aka Ethel) in Kampala, Uganda back in 2006 on a mission trip where I also met CD, my husband.

Since then I have been directly connected to her as a sister, friend, mentor and now a "spiritual momma."

Through the years, Ethel has had her share of hardships and struggles, but continues to remain a young woman of faith.  She has a huge heart to have an orphanage one day to take care of the vunerable children in her village community. Throughout the years, she and her mother have brought in 11 abandoned children, who are now becoming teens  & young adults except for one who is only two years old.

With little resources, she has fought to feed and keep these children in school.  Ethel would tell me that without a good education, the orphans in her care will not progress forward in life.

Unlike here in the US, where our tax payer dollars pay for our students to go to school for "free", the youth in Uganda have to pay their own school tuition to get a good quality education.

Many families cannot afford it, so many youth end up wandering the streets.

With the help of faithful friends, through the years, my husband and I have raised funds to keep the kids that we sponser fed, in school and continuing their education.

One of our kids we and faithful friends sponser is Vivian :)

Today Vivian is a now a Senior in high school and has a dream to go to college to be a Kindergarden teacher.

Vivian will benefit from your $24 gift today!

My word to her, myself and Ethel is #BeStillBabyGirl God’s gonna work something out!

Thank you again,

xoxo
