Hello, my name is Casey and I am honoured to set up this Gofundme for a selfless, caring and outspoken community member - not to mention she is also my bonus mom, Bessie. Recently we’ve received the news that she will need to undergo open heart surgery in a neighbouring province (Ontario).. knowing she will be away from her province and support system and enduring such a grave medical procedure.. it’s all quite daunting in itself.

This comes with a huge financial bill as well, they will have travel costs as well as recovery. With her loving husband by her side, we don’t want them to have to also stress about making ends meet while she heals.

Times are tough for everyone nowadays, but if you can find a few dollars to spare or some words of encouragement, we would appreciate it greatly. What a beautiful thought it is to see the community come together and support one another.
