Hello there, my name is Kristi and I am Megan's older sister. I am starting this go fund me page to help Fadi and Megan during this time as they care for Zachary. Here is a little background information on all this little baby boy has endured in his first week of life.
Zachary Michael Beshwati was born 5/6/23 at 9:19am weighing 7lb 1oz. Zachary has had challenges after birth which have resulted in him being in the NICU at Stanford Palo Alto. Over the past week Zachary has had a stroke and seizures along with sugar and insulin problems. With the help of the amazing team at Stanford, his seizures have stopped, and we are hoping and praying this medication for his insulin problem will be the answer to our prayers.
The most recent update from his doctors this week is a confirmed diagnosis of hyperinsulinism. Zachary was born with a mutated gene that is causing his blood sugar to drop too low and caused his seizures and stroke after birth. The doctors are currently giving him medicine that should fix this, but he is facing another one to two weeks in the hospital. This is a slow process and Fadi and Megan are looking at mounting medical bills, gas expenses as they travel back and forth to the hospital daily just to name a few. As you can imagine this has been mentally, emotionally, and physically draining on them both.
To help take some stress off them if you are able to make a contribution to this page it would be very much appreciated. I understand that not everyone is able to give financially so please know above all your prayers for this precious baby and his parents is a gift. Megan and Fadi are so thankful for every prayer and all the warm wishes that have been sent to them for their little boy. Megan said to me recently that instead of asking God why this happened she is trusting that it happened because God knows they can all manage it. Let’s help them though in any way possible. Thank you all so much.
