Berthita needs help from all of us

Hi, my name is Karen and I am fundraising for my dear friend’s mother, Ms. Bertha.

Bertha is 87 years old and came from Mexico to Airdrie with her daughter, Estelita, after losing her husband. Sadly, Bertha suffered a stroke recently. Because her status is only as a visitor, she does not have medical insurance. This means she is fully responsible for her medical expenses, which are overwhelming.

Just a few days ago, she had to be taken to the hospital, and the bill alone is expected to be around $10,000 CAD. She still needs further medical care and follow-up appointments, which will add to the costs. Estelita, a single mom, simply cannot carry this financial burden on her own.

Bertha is a kindhearted woman who deserves to receive care without the fear of crushing medical debt. At her age, she should be focusing on recovery and spending time with loved ones, not worrying about bills.
