Bertha Gaudet

We are coming together to raise funds to purchase a comemorative tree and plaque in honour of Sonya's mother. The tree will be planted in a park (in Mississauga) that's dear to Sonya and her family.

An excerpt from Sonya's mom's orbituary:

Our mom was the strongest woman I’ve ever met, she was always helping others in need and set a great example for us to give not receive. She wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. She was a fierce Mama, she loved as hard as she laughed. She firmly believed in the power of prayer & that life was a blessed gift not to take for granted. Bertha was also a cancer survivor.

Bertha had a love for her community and volunteered for numerous charities such as the special Olympics, Election Campaigns/ voting polls, Brownies & Girl Guides. In her younger days she loved to Curl, Square Dance & Skating. Her house was always full of the neighborhood children who would add quarters into an (adoption) jar. She had a great love for crossword, Sudoku & Bingo.
