On June 16th, our mother passed away leaving behind six of us who were lucky enough to call her ours. Four girls. Two boys. All heartbroken.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in mid 2022. She fought with everything she had and beat it in 2023. But in 2024, it came back… fierce and unrelenting. She was diagnosed with triple-negative metastatic breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms. Even then, she never once complained. Not once. Through all the pain, she kept smiling.

Even when she couldn’t work, she somehow made sure the bills were paid. I still don’t know how she did it. There were times we were careless with money, focused on the wrong things… but she always made sure we had what we needed. That’s just who she was. She carried the weight of the world with grace and never let it show.

She raised us with love, strength, and sacrifice. And now, in her passing, we want to honor her with the same devotion she gave us her whole life.

En Memoria de la Mujer Más Fuerte que Conocimos

El 16 de junio, nuestra madre falleció, dejando atrás a seis hijos que tuvimos la bendición de llamarla “mamá”. Cuatro hijas. Dos hijos. Todos con el corazón roto.

Le diagnosticaron cáncer de mama por primera vez a mediados del 2022. Luchó con todo lo que tenía y logró vencerlo en el 2023. Pero en el 2024, regresó con más fuerza que nunca. Le diagnosticaron cáncer de mama metastásico triple negativo, una de las formas más agresivas. Aun así, nunca se quejó. Ni una sola vez. A pesar del dolor, siempre mantuvo su sonrisa.

Aunque no podía trabajar, de alguna manera siempre logró pagar las cuentas. Hasta el día de hoy no entiendo cómo lo hizo. Hubo momentos en que yo malgasté el dinero, en cosas que no importaban... y aun así, ella siempre se las arregló para que no nos faltara nada. Así era ella. Llevaba el peso del mundo con una fuerza y una gracia que no se pueden explicar.

Nos crió con amor, valentía y sacrificio. Y ahora que se ha ido, queremos honrarla con la misma devoción que ella nos dio toda su vida.
