In November 2019, Berta was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer localized to one side of her lungs. She started and completed treatment like a champ. Yet, the family took on that financial burden alone. November 2021, we discovered she had a reoccurrence that had spread to both lungs. This time has been very challenging for her with hospital stays and side effects. But took these challenges with a positive attitude and smile on her face in true Berta fashion. She will be wrapping up chemo treatment this month but will continue with immunotherapy for the foreseeable future. This time we do not want her to carry this financial burden alone. We know her battle is not over with her type of cancer, but only just beginning. We want to rally around her and help her in any way.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
