¡Hola a todos!

Mi nombre es Berta Gomez Diaz, tengo 72 años de edad, vivo en San Cristobal, Estado Tachira, Venezuela. Y hoy les quiero contar mi historia, trabaje como Profesora por muchos años en el Grupo Escolar Estado Sucre, en Rubio-Tachira, quizás muchos de los que estén leyendo esto, fueron en su momento mis alumnos, o fui la profesora de alguno de sus familiares, he sido una mujer fuerte, generosa y luchadora que hoy necesita de su ayuda.

Hace poco, fui diagnosticada con una seudo obstrucción intestinal del intestino delgado causada por bridas. Esta condición es extremadamente dolorosa y peligrosa. Las bridas son bandas de tejido cicatricial que se forman dentro del abdomen, y que pueden bloquear parcial o totalmente el paso de los alimentos y líquidos por el intestino. Mis síntomas son graves: dolor abdominal intenso, vómitos, distensión, y riesgo de complicaciones severas si no se trata a tiempo.

Mi situación se ha vuelto crítica. Los médicos han determinado que necesito una cirugía urgente para liberar estas bridas y evitar que mi estado empeore. Sin este tratamiento, mi calidad de vida se deteriorará rápidamente, y podría enfrentar consecuencias irreversibles.

Lamentablemente, los costos médicos son muy elevados y nuestra familia no puede cubrirlos por completo. Por eso, hemos decidido iniciar esta campaña de recaudación de fondos. Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, me acerca a tener la oportunidad de seguir adelante con salud y esperanza. He acudido a diferentes centros medicos en busca del presupuesto más económico, pero aun así (El monto de la operación con su recuperación es de aproximadamente 2.500$)

Hello everyone!

My name is Berta Gomez Diaz, I am 72 years old, and I live in San Cristobal, Táchira State, Venezuela. Today, I want to share my story with you. I worked for many years as a teacher at Grupo Escolar Estado Sucre in Rubio, Táchira. Perhaps many of those reading this were once my students, or I was the teacher of one of your relatives. I have always been a strong, generous, and hardworking woman—but today, I find myself in need of your help.

Not long ago, I was diagnosed with a pseudo-obstruction of the small intestine caused by adhesions. This condition is extremely painful and dangerous. Adhesions are bands of scar tissue that form inside the abdomen and can partially or completely block the passage of food and fluids through the intestines. My symptoms are severe: intense abdominal pain, vomiting, bloating, and a high risk of serious complications if not treated in time.

My situation has become critical. Doctors have determined that I urgently need surgery to release these adhesions and prevent my condition from worsening. Without this treatment, my quality of life will rapidly deteriorate, and I could face irreversible consequences.

Unfortunately, the medical costs are very high, and my family cannot cover them completely. That is why we have decided to start this fundraising campaign. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to the chance of moving forward with health and hope. I have contacted several medical centers looking for the most affordable option, but even so, the total cost of the surgery and recovery is approximately $2,500.
