My name is Brittany Bradley, and I am writing on behalf of our small, tight-knit community in Wawa, Ontario as we come together to support a family experiencing an unimaginable loss.

Our community has recently lost a deeply loved man, Bert Firlotte due to a snowmobile accident — a devoted husband, father, papa, friend, and member of our community. Bert touched the lives of so many people through his kindness, his laughter, and the way he was always there for those around him.

Anyone who knew Bert knows how much he meant to his family and to the people of Wawa. His passing has left a tremendous hole in the hearts of those who loved him most.

This GoFundMe has been created to help support Julie, Dave, Tamara, Ryan & Nico during this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will go toward helping ease the financial burden that comes with such a sudden loss, allowing his loved ones including his daughter Tamara from Vancouver to get to Ontario and handle finances in Vancouver while’s she’s in Ontario. This will allow the space and time they need to grieve and remember the wonderful man Bert was. Any left over funds will be used to create a memorial at Perry Lake or on his Camp road.

Our hope is that our community — and anyone whose life was touched by Bert — can come together to show support, love, and compassion for his family.
