Hi everyone,

My name is Taharqua Osei-Bevans, I’m Bert’s eldest child.

As many of you already know, my dad passed suddenly on the 5th January 2026. He arrived at Heathrow where he was found unresponsive they alerted emergency services, he was taken to Hillingdon Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Due to the manner in which he passed, they are doing an autopsy to determine the cause of death. I was informed by the doctor that process could take a week or two. In the meantime, I have contacted numerous cremation services for further arrangements. I will have more information for you once I have spoken to the hospital.
