Hello,

We are a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) called the Regulators - Whitehorse Chapter of Oklahoma that try to help people in need through donations and events. Sometimes we find that not only our communities need assistance, but our brothers and sisters too. We are trying to raise $6,000 dollars for a motorcycle accident involving two of our members to help give some relief to them.

On June 24, 2023, Humberto Avila (Bert) and Lethy Lee (Lefty) were headed back from Mt. Airy, NC to Boone, NC on Frank Dillard Rd. At approximately 16:30 hours they were traveling in a turn where their motorcycle left the roadway and landed in a ditch 15 to 20 feet below the roadway. Lefty was thrown from the bike and landed on a large rock and in a barb-wired fence in the ditch. Bert landed with the bike approximately 30 feet away in the ditch from Lefty where the bike came to a stop. Where they landed, they could not be seen by anyone passing by.

Luckily, Bert was able to crawl his way up to the shoulder of the roadway where he was seen by a fellow club member, who called 911. After first responders and ambulances arrived, Bert was taken to North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Salem, NC, and Lefty was taken to Johnson City Medical Center, TN. Bert sustained a fracture to his #2 Vertebrae in his neck and Lefty suffered a sprained ankle, punctured lung, and several broken ribs. Thankfully, they were both wearing motorcycle protective gear.

Bert is described as a caring, charismatic person who loves to entertain people making them laugh and have a fun time. He is always willing to help anyone in need.

Lefty is a fun, outgoing person and a caring mother who enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time with her family.

We are asking for your support, both emotionally and financially, during this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a substantial difference in easing the burden of medical expenses for Bert and Lefty.
