In March 2023, Paraic, like many before him, received very unwelcome news.  The support from three voluntary charities - Shabra Charity Foundation, Carrickmacross Cancer Society and the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre, was of immense reassurance and help during a difficult time.  19 months later, I'm taking up a little challenge in appreciation of the support received from these charities.  During the first week of September I will cycle and walk the 165 km National Famine Way from Strokestown in Roscommon to the Customs House Quay in Dublin.  I ask for your financial support, these charities depend on you and I to provide incredible services for people during a turbulent time in their lives.  No matter how large or small, your donation will be gratefully appreciated.

This is also an opportunity for us both to THANK everyone for their prayers, well wishes and positive encouragement, especially from our families, relatives, neighbours, friends and colleagues.  Your support carried us through a difficult number of months and was very much appreciated and will always be remembered.
