My name is Marie-Josée Cormier, and I am raising funds to lay my beloved father to rest after his sudden passing on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025.

Alongside the heartbreak of learning to live without my dad at just 30 years old, I’m facing the financial burden of trying to give him the dignified, respectful service he deserves. A service worthy of the man who gave life to my brother and me.

My father was a true musician at heart; a drummer, accordionist, guitarist, singer, and sound technician. A dedicated trucker for over 30 years. He loved spending his time building models, diving into long conversations about music and bands, sitting with my mom in the living room for hours, simply enjoying each other’s company. Like any great dad, he was always there, showing up when we needed help, or even just to check in and make sure everything was okay.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Jeanne Gionet-Cormier; myself; my brother, Jocelyn Cormier; and his grandchildren, my two children, Jayden Cormier-Daley and Kiara Cormier-Steeves.
