Mom's Emergency Door Replacement

Hi, My name is Tybie Dotson. I'm trying to raise funds to assist my dear Mom Bernice Dotson with an emergency replacement of her front door and frame. During the early morning of July 30th, 2016, my dear 84year old mother suffered an unfortunate accident in her home. She slipped and fell to the ground on her knees and could not get up. She is a member of the Life Alert system since she had a very damaging accident in her home on October 12th 2015 in which she broke her shoulder, fractured her skull and her left eye socket when she fel down on the kitchen floor.  This time LifeAlert sent the FDNY,NY Police Dpeartment and EMT's within minutes. The buildings maintance crew could not locate her dupilcate copy of door keys in all the confusion, even thought they have them on file .  In the midst of all the madness the Life Alert representative also did not contact me at all to let me know what had happened. I have keys to my Mom's apartment and could have gone there and opened the front door for the EMT"s and FDNY to come inside. The FDNY said that said that they must follow protocal which involved knocking down the door despite the protests of my Mom and the Life Alert representative. My Mom was screaming "please don't knock down the door" since she was lying directly in front of the door on the floor. They did not honor her request and the 65 pound steel fire door fell on my Mom fracturing 3 of her ribs and bruising her deeply. Only by the grace of GOD is she still alive.Life Alert has a recording of the entire episode and it is extremely traumitizing to listen to her screaming when the door came down. The replacement door, door frame and broken saddle has cost upwards of $3,000 due to the intense damage by the FDNY. It has been an extreme financial hardship in securing the funds to pay for the door which she  absolutely had to have done. I'm am graciuosly asking you if you could please extend the kindness in your hearts and help me raise funds towards the cost of the door?. One of my lifetime motto's has always been that helping someone else makes you feel better . That everyone is  carrying a burden of some kind that you never know so be kind everyone always.
