Dear Family and Friends,
Almost 3 years ago we called upon you to celebrate our Mom’s (Bernice) 80th birthday. It was a joyous occasion and an experience she fondly remembers.
Today we are asking for your support once again, but this time to help with her rising medical costs and a sewer line repair not covered by homeowner's insurance. The medical costs are the result of a leg wound which has not properly healed and requires surgery. While doctors and specialists have prescribed different medications and conducted numerous tests, a surgeon has determined surgery is her last resort to facilitate the healing process. To date, we understand that even with health insurance coverage the medical expenses will exceed $10,000.00.
Within 72-hours of her leg diagnosis it was discovered the sewer line from the house to the street would have to be trenched and replaced for $15,000.00. Built in 1950, it is a wonder the sewer line lasted this long. This home has been our family gathering place since 1956.
You can imagine the worry and concern our Mom is experiencing. As a family we have and will continue to provide her with care and support, meeting her daily needs, arranging and attending medical appointments, providing wound care, shopping and financial aid. Unfortunately, the medical and home repairs exceed our ability to lift the financial burden from her shoulders.
So today, on behalf of our Mom we come to ask for your financial support. We welcome any amount. And, if you are unable to donate please keep our Mom in your thoughts and prayers to give her strength to endure the challenges she faces and the speedy recovery she deserves.
