Bernhard Hollinger's Album "1987" on Vinyl

After finishing the music of this album after a long and challenging process, including moving countries, lockdown and switching mixing engineers, I am more than happy to announce that it is done and that I have even found a label that will release my music for the first time in my life.

I am more than happy and grateful for this album and its music on it. It still resonates with me and symbolizes a big transformation for me and I am feeling more than thankful to have been supported by a group of incredible musicians and people on the way. Things seem to be going well....... well.

It would not feel complete if I could not have that physical copy of it in my hand, and this is where I need you.

I am inviting you to support me in the last step of this journey and help me to cover the costs for the vinyl design, vinyl pressing and release of it. Together with your help I can round of this process and finalize the release with the label distributing this beautiful piece of art.

About 1987:

1987 is symbolizes and mirrors the impulsiveness and playfulness of the subconscious and dreams and highly influenced by David Lynch. The conceptual album is a melting pot of a wide variety of genres including e.g. Jazz, Rock, Indie, Improvised music, Metal, Punk and Ambient. It is highly inspired by some of my musical influences like Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Ornette Coleman, John Hassell and Matiss Cudars. Besides some of the most aspiring european jazz musicians, e.g. Teis Semey, Augustas Baronas, Matthias van den Brande, Ashton Sellars, it also includes the grammy winning trumpeter Ashlin Parker, as well as Larry Sieberth from New Orleans. The only non-original song is taken from the audiobook "Sleep Tapes" with Jeff Bridges.

After the deduction of the costs I hope to have roughly around 3.000€ to my disposal. 500€ will be going towards the label for their support in pushing the album to get interviews and appearances as well as the time for distribution. The vinyl pressing will be around 2.200€ for 100Vinyls and 300€ will go to a graphic designer that will adapt a beautiful analog photo out of the series "Narrenfeuer" by Hubert Klotzeck to the vinyl artwork.

Nach einem langen und herausfordernden Prozess, inklusive Umzug in ein anderes Land, den Lockdown und den Wechsel des Mixing-Engineers, freue ich mich sehr, um mitteilen zu können, dass die Musik meines neuen Album "1987" abgeschlossen ist und ich sogar ein Label gefunden habe, das meine Musik veröffentlichen wird.

Die Musik und das Album symbolisieren Transformation für mich und ich bin mehr als dankbar für all die Unterstützung, die ich auf diesem Weg erhalten habe.

Allerdings würde es sich für mich nicht vollständig anfühlen, wenn ich nicht eine physische Kopie dieser Musik in der Hand halten könnte, und hierfür brauche ich dich.

Ich lade dich ein, mich auf dem letzten Abschnitt dieser Reise zu begleiten und mir zu helfen, die Kosten für das Vinyl-Design, das Pressen und die Veröffentlichung zu decken. Mit deiner Hilfe, hoffe ich die Veröffentlichung meines Albums auf Vinyl abzuschließen.

Über 1987:

1987 symbolisiert und spiegelt die Impulsivität und Verspieltheit des Unterbewusstseins und der Träume wider und ist stark von David Lynch beeinflusst. Das Konzeptalbum ist ein Schmelztiegel verschiedenster Genres, z.B. Jazz, Rock, Indie, freie Improvisation, Metal, Punk und Ambient. Es ist stark inspiriert von einigen meiner musikalischen Einflüsse wie Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Ornette Coleman, John Hassell und Matiss Cudars. Neben einigen der vielversprechendsten europäischen Jazzmusikern wie z.B. Teis Semey, Augustas Baronas, Matthias van den Brande, Ashton Sellars, ist auch der Grammy-gewinnende Trompeter Ashlin Parker sowie Larry Sieberth aus New Orleans auf dem Album vertreten. Der einzige nicht-originale Song stammt aus dem Hörbuch "Sleep Tapes" mit Jeff Bridges.

Nach Abzug der Kosten hoffe ich, ungefähr 3.000€ zur Verfügung zu haben. 500€ werden dem Label für die Unterstützung bei der Veröffentlichung des Albums, sowie für die Verbreitung zukommen.
