Bernardo’s eye surgery

Hey guys Recently, Bernardo’s left eye has became red, cloudy, and swollen. After taking him to a vet then a veterinary eye specialist for a second opinion, we learned that he has glaucoma and possibly a tumor inside his eye.

The pressure in his eye is very high, which has already left him blind this week in that eye and is causing him significant pain. ( he is on medication for the pain and pressure right now up until his surgery on Monday) The doctors explained that the best way to relieve his suffering is through a surgery called an enucleation (removal of the eye). This will not only stop his pain, but also allow the eye to be sent to a lab to confirm if there’s a tumor, so we can know what we’re dealing with.

Bernardo has already survived so much in his life—he’s a rescue from Tijuana with old scars from his rough past. And if you’ve met him he’s the sweetest most loving lil guy. Despite it all, hes tough and the most loyal boy. He’s my best friend, my comfort, and my family, my son. Seeing him in pain breaks my heart, and I just want to give him the chance to feel safe, in less pain and comfortable again.

The cost of his surgery, medications, and follow-up care is more than I can manage on my own right now. That’s why I’m asking for support. Every little bit helps even a share. Bernardo forever
