Bernardo Ortiz COVID-19 Fondo de Emergencia

Tio Bernardo is a loving father of three who recently tested positive for COVID-19. On July 4th, Tio experienced shortness of breath and a lingering cough. Worried about the pandemic amidst us, he took immediate action and went to the hospital. On July 5th, he was officially admitted to Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital where he remained a total of 15 days. 

During his hospital stay, he suffered several shortness of breath attacks and the treatment he was given caused unexpected complications. He remained on oxygen for 15 days and was finally released on July 20th. Although my Tio is out of the hospital, the effects of COVID-19 are still not behind him. His body, specifically his lungs, must adjust to the trauma endured. Not only has the virus taken a physical toll on him, but a financial one as well. Tio Bernardo is a modest man who is self-employed and has not been cleared to work. He has been recommend to stay home and quarantine. As bills rack up, however you can help would be greatly appreciated.

Tio is grateful with God for giving him a second chance of life. While in the hospital, he explains that his biggest fear was not coming out and never getting to see his children again. He urges us to realize the dangers of COVID-19 and to listen to all the recommendation of the CDC.

Tio Bernardo es un amoroso padre de tres quien recientemente fue diagnosticado con COVID-19. El 4 de julio tío experimentó dificultad para respirar y una tos persistente, preocupado por la pandemia que está en medio de nosotros, tomo acción inmediata y fue al hospital.  El 5 de julio fue admitido en el hospital comunitario Martin Luther King donde permaneció hospitalizado por 15 días.  

Durante su estadía en el hospital, sufrió varios ataques de falta de oxígeno. Y el tratamiento proveído causó inesperadas complicaciones. Permanecío en oxígeno artificial por 15 días y finalmente fue dado de alta el 20 de julio.  Aun cuando mi tío está fuera del Hospital, los efectos del COVID-19 todavía siguen en su cuerpo. Específicamente sus pulmones deben ajustarse al trauma sufrido. El virus no solamente le ha afectado físicamente pero también en sus finanzas. Tío Bernardo Es un hombre modesto, que trabaja por su cuenta y su médicos todavía no le han dado de alta para regresar al trabajo.  Se le ha recomendado permanecer en casa en cuarentena. Mientras tantos sus facturas se acumulan, cualquier ayuda que le puedan proporcionar será de gran ayuda para el.  

Tío está agradecido con Dios porque le ha dado una segunda oportunidad de vida.  Mientras estaba hospitalizado, el explica que su mayor temor fue no poder salir para volver a ver a sus hijos otra vez.  El te insta a que tomes en serio los peligros del COVID-19 y a que escuches todos las recomendaciones de La Organización Mundial de la Salud.
