Bernard Schober's Healthy Heart

When Bernard went in for his 1 year checkup after his valve replacement, doctors discovered complications which led to the need for open heart surgery on March 23rd. As if that wasn't enough, he suffered post-op complications and was bleeding internally. This led to the need for another open heart surgery just 12 hours later. Although the internal bleeding was resolved, now he's fighting an infection and he will be sent home with a PICC line for 6 weeks of antibiotics.

The medical bills far surpassed the coverage provided by his new job. It's been a difficult year for so many, but if we all chip in a small amount we can help Bernard (Klute) get back into the water. His family truly appreciates all of the love and support during his time of healing.
