Dear Family and friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Bernard “Bernie” Hartog Hijmans.

Bernie leaves behind his wife, 4 children, 8 grandchildren,family and friends who loved him dearly. He was a happy man with a heart of gold who always thought of others and was so generous.

Those who knew him know he lived for his loved ones, always took care of them and had a passion for building and fixing things. His passing is a devastating loss and his absence will be deeply felt.

In order to help alleviate the family’s financial worries during an already difficult time we have set up a way to support the Hijmans family. Your support and generosity will allow them to focus on healing and honouring Bernie’s memory as they navigate this incredibly tough time.

Let’s show them just how much love and support surrounds them during this time of profound loss.

Alone we can do little, but together we can do so much. No matter how big or small, every little bit counts.
