Bernard Adu Acheampong (Uncle Ben) & Wife Surgery

Hello, my name is Michael Mensah, and I am starting a gofundme for my dear friend Richard (a.k.a Uncle Ben, or Agya Adu) and his wife, who have been in severe consecutive accidents and cannot work. Richard lacks the necessary insurance to cover the surgery he needs, and he will go blind in two months without sed surgery.

On the 24th of May, while driving in the morning, he was on his way to work in his 26-feet box truck. According to the doctors, he had three strokes while going, and on the third time, he swerved into the side of the road. The ambulance took him to Springfield hospital and transferred him to New Hampshire Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital. He suffered from a 3-week coma, a neck fracture, and ribs on both sides were fractured. Due to the strokes, the mobility on his left side was extremely limited, and he still suffers from nerve damage in his left side.

On June 9th, as his wife was coming to visit him, she fell outside the front of her house and sustained a broken ankle in two places. This also caused her to be out of work for all this time. She was since terminated from her position at her job due to being out of work for over twelve weeks.

He is someone who has always been there for my family and my church, both of whom are trying their best to help fund the surgery on their own. Even with their help, it isn't enough to support it. They cannot do a task like this independently, so it is time for us as a community to come together and help. Richard and his wife need prayers, hope, encouraging words, and meaningful actions to help them through these dark times. But the dawn always comes after the dark, and together we can see to it that these two may make a smooth, swift, and total recovery.
