Bernabe (Ben) Zavala, a very optimistic and loving family man, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the age of 58 in Bryan, Texas. His love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. On the contrary, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community, and his legacy and love stay with his wife Mabel, his daughters Ale, Crystal Mabel, his son Alex and grandchildren.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend but mainly a beautiful, compassionate, caring soul who always made everybody feel welcome and who worked hard in life to reach his goals. The simplest things in life brought great joy to Ben. He loved a quiet evening with his family, taking a walk in the park after dinner, or simply working on his yard or his truck. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed.

A funeral ceremony was held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the Treviño-Smith Funeral House, followed by a front yard reception at his house in Bryan, Texas.

Bernabe (Ben) Zavala, un hombre de familia muy optimista y amoroso, murió inesperadamente de un ataque al corazón el martes 6 de septiembre de 2022 a la edad de 58 años en Bryan, Texas. Su amor por la vida no terminó con su muerte. Al contrario, su corazón amoroso dejó un faro de luz para todos en la comunidad, y su legado y amor quedan con su esposa Mabel, sus hijas Ale, Crystal Mabel, su hijo Alex y sus nietos.

Era esposo, padre, abuelo, hijo, hermano y amigo, pero principalmente un alma hermosa, compasiva y afectuosa que siempre hizo que todos se sintieran bienvenidos y que trabajó duro en la vida para alcanzar sus metas. Las cosas más simples de la vida traían gran alegría a Ben. Le encantaba pasar una noche tranquila con su familia, dar un paseo por el parque después de la cena o simplemente trabajar en su jardín o en su camióneta. Echaremos de menos su actitud alegre y su brillante sonrisa.

El domingo 11 de septiembre de 2022 se llevó a cabo una ceremonia fúnebre en Treviño-Smith Funeral House, seguida de una recepción en el patio delantero de su casa en Bryan, Texas.
