Berkley Baristas Cafe

Berkley High School supports an environment of inclusion and acceptance by focusing on students’ strengths to create positive, school-wide opportunities for all, and we like to do it with some pizazz and creativity.

The Berkley Baristas Cafe will provide students in the Life Skills and Work Skills classes the opportunity to work on job skills, money management, and social skills during their school day.

The funds generated here will provide start-up capital to create a solid foundation for our micro-business. We will purchase the equipment necessary to run a small cafe, uniforms, and additional supplies. Our goal is to involve community partners in the business, and integrate technology into the daily functioning of the business, i.e. time cards, stocking and inventory, task lists, and ordering. Funds generated from the business will return to the program to keep it viable throughout the school year.

Here is a list of the items we intend to purchase:
- Industrial coffee machines
- Advertising (sign)
- Cleaning supplies
- Aprons and name tags
- Cups, lids, filters, etc
- Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate

Thank you for your support!
