The Bergen County SPCA is a 501c3 non profit that receives no funding from any government agency. We investigate allegations of animal cruelty and neglect in Bergen County N.J.
Late in the evening of May 16, 2016 "Olive" as in Olive Oil was found inside a box that had been tied shut preventing any chance of escape. She was covered in motor oil.
The Bergen County SPCA was contacted by the Fort Lee Police Department.
The kitten was taken to Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, N.J. where she was cleaned, treated x-rayed and monitored. Emergency animal care is very expensive. Since Olive has no owner the bill will be the resposibility of the Bergen County SPCA.
It would mean so much to cover Olive's Veterinary treatment and continued care. We are continuing our investigation and hope to find the person responsible for abandoning Olive in such a cruel manner and will prosecute to the fullest extent possible. If anyone has anyinformation the Bergen County SPCA can be reached at www.bergen
