Support Berenice and Kenny's Recovery from the Park Fire
Donation protected
Our mother and stepfather, Berenice and Kenny, just lost their home, two vehicles, and everything they own in the devastating Park Fire. While their future is uncertain right now, we would be so grateful for any funds you can contribute to help them recover. Any funds you donate will go directly to them so they can replace all their basic necessities in the short term, and eventually rebuild their lives in the long term in whatever form that may take.
Berenice and Kenny are wonderful people who are beloved in their small community of Cohasset. Among their countless other losses, Berenice lost a 150+ year old piano that was a family heirloom incredibly dear to her heart, and a beautiful garden that she lovingly tended to every day. Kenny is a lifelong musician who lost several instruments and other musical equipment that he makes his living with. He also hand makes & sells willow furniture, of which several newly crafted pieces were lost.
The Park Fire started on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Upper Bidwell Park near Chico, California and rapidly spread up into the mountain foothills where Berenice and Kenny lived in the town of Cohasset. They were able to escape with only minutes to spare before the fire blocked their exit route, and while we are all so grateful for their safety and that of their precious dog Keva, this traumatic loss of their home has been devastating. Any help that you can spare will be so appreciated. Thank you ❤️
