Bereavement Support for William - Loss of Saige

My name is William Erickson, and I am in need of some help following the tragic death of my son. Saige was a healthy 16-year-old who was taken from us suddenly in June, due to an intracerebral hemorrhage. 

He was a responsible, dependable, considerate, and loving Son with a bright future. I miss him dearly and his absence has left a hole in my heart. The circumstances of his death truly are a parent's worst nightmare.

I was self-employed at the time of his death. I have been unable to effectively and consistently find the energy and focus to achieve results that will help support my family. This is causing additional anxiety, self hatred and a feeling of worthlessness. I am distracted daily by the memories and affected by the deep sadness and sense of emptiness that follows. I feel completely consumed by this grief and have never cried so long and so hard before. 

I am actively working through the grieving process. I have the support of my loving wife and many caring friends. I'm utilizing resources available through the Indiana Donor Network and local options, including group bereavement sessions.. I don't know how long it will take or which path is the best. It hasn’t gotten a whole lot easier yet. I don't want there to be any confusion. I am married, my wife works and she is extremely supportive. She is also feeling tremendous loss and is grieving. 

I’m not asking for you to support a lavish lifestyle, my monthly expenses are modest and have been manageable up until now. Any amount you can offer will greatly affect the wellbeing of everyone in my family and hopefully allow more time to heal.
