Donation protected

**edit to add**: costs of cremation service of $2000 will be directly covered by this if we meet the goal.

Although life is ever-changing before our eyes, whether it be fear of getting sick, losing money to being unemployed, being isolated on “stay home orders,” and much more, I am asking now for your strength and support.  Although the world is a terrifying place right now, it has become a nightmare for my younger step brother, Josh, as his father passed suddenly in the early hours of April the 2nd, 2020.

As some may know, my mother has been in a relationship with Greg, Josh’s father, for a decent amount of years now. They both came into my life around the time Josh was 4 years old and I’ve had the privilege watching him grow into the amazingly kind, goofy, caring 18 year old he is now. He’s a great football player for Olympia High School, AP student, hard worker at Carrabba’s (got him the job there the week he turned 18 because I mean, who wouldn’t want to work with this kid?) a good friend, and a person I am proud to call my family. His best friend was easily his father, someone he looked up to, and loves endlessly, and in this dark time of uncertainty, he needs our support.

One thing I can say with 100% certainty was that Greg was the best dad for him. He fought hard to do what was best by Josh and never once had a doubt that Josh wouldn’t consistently do amazing things in life.

To allow Josh to have the strength, support, and extra love he needs during this difficult time, I’ve created this go fund me to help alleviate some of the stresses coming with the loss of his father.  He doesn’t know I’ve even created it yet, but the intention here is to show our compassion and support in this hardship so Josh, and the rest of us, can grieve without worry.

Whatever funds do get raised will go directly to allowing Greg to Rest In Peace,  and to Josh to get him through this uncertain period of time of being furloughed, and trying to make it through to his high school graduation (if there is one?? Cursed covid19). Anything you can contribute to my stepbrother's well-being is immensely appreciated, and it would be a beacon of hope for us in these trying times.
