Bentley needs Radiation

Donation protected
On Sunday August 4th, our girl Bentley had a seizure for the first time. After a 7 hour stay in the ER, we left with no answers and told it may never happen again. On Thursday August 8th, she had two more and we got into our regular vet same day, now on an anticonvulsant but still no answers as to why. A week later we went to the doctors and neurologists at University of Pennsylvania’s Ryan Veterinary Hospital where we got an MRI, giving us devastating news: a mass in her brain, a glioma.

No way for us to know how or why this happened to Bentley, we started looking into treatment options: surgery, radiation or palliative. After a CT scan from the oncology team at BluePearl Pet Hospital Cyberknife Cancer Center, radiation has come to be our best option for a treatment.

That being said, radiation will be a long road of treatment and rather costly. The best treatment we can give her is CyberKnife radiation or IMRT radiation both of which range between $9,000-$15,000.

We’re asking for help to get our girl the best treatment we can and give her the longest, most comfortable life possible. Given her young age of 5 and the location of the tumor, the oncologists believe the radiation will help her.

Any and all help is very appreciated! ❤️

Love, Bentley and her family (Mom, Dad and brother Boost)
