Oh boy guys, I hate that we are having to do this yet again! It’s been 7 years since we asked for help on this platform and times are even tougher for everyone out there after COVID. As you know 7 years ago Travis nearly died from a benign brain tumor. We had an amazing community then and we have one now as well. I know everyone is strapped due to the insane amount that gas, groceries etc
I am having to travel 50+ miles one way each time I go to the hospital. So that alone is a tremendous hardship. Travis is the breadwinner of the family. Travis will be unable to work for at least 12 months if he is even able to go back to work at all and We just bought our house 2 months ago after waiting to purchase since moving here to Arizona.
As you may have seen my posts, Travis was injured on the job on June 1st, 2022. Our lives have been turned upside down yet again. Travis works for ADOT as an Incident Responder. He literally puts his life on the line everyday to make the roads safe for everyone. He was out on a call when his legs were crushed between two trucks. Travis has a bi-lateral Plateau fracture of his Tibia and Fibia in his right leg and a complete tear of his Achilles’ tendon in his left leg. Travis will not be able to walk for at least 4 months and we don’t know if or when Travis will be able to go back to work. This was a work place incident so Medical bills will be covered under workman’s comp thank goodness, but they will only be paying 66% of Travis normal pay. His checks will not have his normal OT on them either. This campaign is for everything else. Covering living expenses, travel to and from home for me as he is in a hospital completely on the other side of Phoenix. This is for groceries, clothing for kids etc. I know that times are tough for everyone and I don’t really expect anyone to donate but if you want to , this is here. Even if your unable to donate I ask that you share this with your friends. I hate having to do this again but am so very thankful that we have the best and greatest friends anyone can ask for ♥️
A little about Travis and our family… Travis has spent the last 20 years as a Firefighter/EMT he ended his career as a Captain in Oregon. He gave up his career job to move us down to Arizona for me and the kids because we have a very rare genetic bone disease and the heat makes it better. He bleeds firefighting, he lives for his fellow fire family and helping save lives. It was a huge sacrifice he made for us to move here. So he traded one dangerous job for another. Travis is the strongest man I know. He has endured so much more then one person should have to. He is also my ROCK! June 10th we will celebrate 16 years of marriage and we have two amazing kiddos. In one split second our lives have been turned completely upside down. I have lost my person who helps me, who shares the duties with me. For awhile at least. He will be back someday and we will conquer life together as we always do. Thank you for the continued prayers and support.
Much love Angela and Travis ♥️
