Ben's World Scout Jamboree 2023 Fundraising

My name is Ben and I am a 14 year old scout with 1st Findon Valley Sea Scouts in Worthing, West Sussex. I am excited to announce that I have been selected to attend the next World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023.

In order to attend the World Scout Jamboree I need to raise a total of £4,000. This money will fund all of my preparation training, travel and attendance at the Jamboree itself. In addition, a portion of my fundraising will contribute to the Solidarity Programme, enabling scouts from other less fortunate countries to attend and supporting the aim of the Jamboree to ‘Think Big, Dream Wild, Act Together’.

My fundraising plans so far, include hiking the South Downs Way, a New Years Day sea dip, organising an Easter Egg trail for primary age children in my area and a paper aeroplane challenge and cake sale.

I would welcome any suggestions you may have for further fundraising and awareness raising ideas fro help me raise the funds needed.
