Hello everyone! This is a fundraiser to assist Ben and Ashley DeWees in Ben's recurring journey with leukemia.
Ben had been dealing with medical issues including head pain and neurological problems, and after multiple ER visits, a spot on his skull had been found. The doctors performed a craniotomy to biopsy the site, at which point they confirmed that on May 3rd - Ben's 33rd birthday - there is a relapse of his acute myeloid leukemia. 
At this time, Ben has already received one round of intense chemotherapy and will require additional treatment. This treatment includes more chemo and a second bone marrow transplant from a new donor.
Because of this intensive treatment, Ben and his wife Ashley need to live close to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and the UW Medical Center. This will be a temporary relocation, but will absolutely be necessary for Ben to get the care that he needs at this time. Both Ben and Ashley are currently trying to maintain a regular work schedule, but this won't be something that they will be able to sustain full time, as the treatment will be extremely difficult, intensive, and will require a lengthy recovery.
It is imperative that they get assistance with things such as housing to allow them to remain close to the medical facilities, as well as giving them the ability to take days off when Ben is having difficulties due to treatment.
Anything helps, and everything is appreciated.
I'll do my absolute best to keep everyone in the loop with Ben's progress. Please keep him and Ashley in your thoughts through this difficult time. They need all the positivity that they can get.
