What Am I Doing?

Alongside a team of 15 Bens, I’ll be jumping out of a plane to raise vital funds for a cause close to my heart! You could say, It’s Raining Ben!

I’ve been growing my hair since 2019, now alongside the jump I will be shaving it bald, and donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust so they can turn it into a real-hair wig for a young person experiencing hair loss. On jump day—19 July at Skydive Langar—I’ll have my hair cut and safely packaged to be shipped off, then shave the rest off. filmed for our Instagram (@CouncilOfBens). Hair first, sky second!

Why I’m Supporting This Cause.

Growing up, I always wanted long hair but school rules (mum's rules) kept it short and smart. Later I realised some children never even get the chance to argue with their mum's about going to the barber — chemotherapy and other conditions take that choice away. Knowing I could help give a bit of that freedom back felt right.

I love my hair, so shaving it off is a real sacrifice, I’ll even be bald in my own graduation photos. But if handing over my hair means just one young person can slip on a wig, look in the mirror, and feel “normal” instead of “different,” it’s worth every strand.

My hope is simple: to make the world a little less scary for a child who’s already dealing with enough. Even if you can't donate, I hope this page nudges you to do something kind—whether that’s donating your own hair, visiting an old friend, or completing some other fundraisor — then the ripple effect will be even bigger than the free-fall.

This will be an epic charity skydive event organised by The Council of Bens taking place on July 19th at Skydive Langar — a day that promises to be packed full of BENergy! Furthermore I will be shaving my head and donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust.

How will your support help?

My fundraising target is £500 but would love to smash this goal and raise £1000+.

If the target is met, £240 will go towards covering the cost of the tandem skydive — this has been pre-arranged and agreed with the charity.

If the goal isn’t met, 50% of the funds raised will still be donated to the charity.
