On January, the 17th, 2017 our family was hit by the devastating news that my brother Ben Hoyt would be battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This type of cancer is characterized as an overproduction and accumulation of cancerous immature white blood cells. This cancer diagnosis has meant that Ben, as well as the rest of my family will be facing the next two years’ head on, and will hopefully be able to arrive at the end of those two years with Ben in remission, and our family, stronger than we have ever been.
Ben is a smart, artistically gifted student who attended Algonquin College for animation until this most recent set back.

With two parents, David and Andrea, and Ben’s sister, myself, Victoria, we’re a quirky family, but together we’re stronger than we could ever be apart.
Being faced with multiple blood transfusions, chemo therapy, a possible bone marrow transplant, and hospital stays of great lengths, these next two years will mean our family will suffer many emotional and financial strains during his lengthy treatment and recovery. With the hospital that Ben is being treated in being at the other end of town, as well as my family needing to be there to support him by his side at most hours of the day, this has meant that time at work must be sacrificed as well as a great deal of drives to and from the hospital on a daily basis.

Being only 19, and with myself being a full-time student as well as juggling part time work, homework and hospital visits, I am unable to support my family as much as I feel I should, thus why I am making this page, in hopes that any of you can help me help them.
On behalf of my family and I, I would like to offer my most sincere gratitude for your time in reading this, as well as any gracious donations you may have made. If you are unable to donate all I ask is for you to take one minute of your day and share this GoFundMe with your friends and loved ones so that they may see it and potentially help my family.
Thank you again, and I wish you all the best,
Victoria Hoyt.
