Benny: Pikes Peak Ascent

Hi I'm Benny! I am 3 years sober currently training for the Pikes Peak Ascent which will be the most difficult race I have signed up for. Running has always been a passion of mine but since sobriety I have reached goals and pushed limits that I did not think were possible.

If you are not familiar with Pikes Peak in Colorado it is classified as a 14er which exceeds in elevation over 14000 feet above sea level.

I am raising money for Recovery Road Runners which started off as a Facebook group I had joined but has become so much more to me. It is a great outlet to keep in contact with other sober and like minded individuals. Amber, the founder of this nonprofit organization offers so many opportunities to stay or get sober through training and events. We are all in it together to normalize sobriety and use running as an outlet. Donating to this organization would mean so much to me as I continue my journey through sobriety along with many others.
