Benny Needs Your Help to Finish College

Hey there! I'm Benny, I'm a 39 year old disabled trans guy living in Oregon. I am trying to raise $600 to cover tuition for summer classes so I can stay on track to get my degree. I started pursuing my BA in 2020 as a sophomore, and it's taken me five years to get through one academic year, because I've had to stop and start so many times due to physical disabilities and mental illness, and go from full time down to half time. I am lucky to be able to graduate without student loan debt because I had my loans discharged on account of being declared totally and permanently disabled, but this also means I cannot take out new loans and have to rely completely on grants and scholarships. I finally made it through my junior year and am now a senior, but in order to stay on track I need to take summer classes. Not all funds are available for summer quarter, so I am short by about $500. I made the goal $600 to account for textbooks as well.

I have worked so hard to get through these last few years and it will still take me until 2027 to graduate, because I can only manage going half-time. If I can't take summer classes this year I run the risk of running out of Pell Grant funds from taking so long to complete my degree and not being able to finish at all.
