Hi, my name is Niamh and the horse this Go Fund Me is about is called Benny. Benny is a 3 year old Clydesdale x gelding and is the kindest horse I’ve ever met! Unfortunately 3 months ago we found out Benny had severe sinusitis and he needed to be operated on. At the time I was told there were abnormalities in two teeth roots but the vet didn’t want to remove the teeth yet because Benny is so young and it would be dangerous for him. I paid for that surgery but unfortunately, within a short period of time, the sinusitis returned. I had more x-rays taken and was told Benny needed more surgery to clear the sinusitis plus removal of the teeth. We got another opinion, had more x-rays done and proceeded with surgery to remove the teeth and then antibiotics to help clear the sinusitis. I didn’t have the money so my parents paid for it instead of their house repairs. When the surgery was performed they only managed to get one tooth out because the other was too fragile. This surgery took a long 9 hours for Benny. The Vet now says he will need a final specific surgery to get the last tooth out as they will need to go through a hole in his cheek.

I made contact with Save A Horse Australia and they agreed to take him, but they thought I should fundraise for this final surgery so I don’t have to surrender my beloved horse. Within the last 3 months we have spent $10,000 on Benny trying to fix him. I don’t have the $5000 needed to help him for this next surgery so this is one last ask for help.
