Benny Boys fund

Donation protected

Our beloved Ben was born on 10th July 1974. After a short but hard fought fight with pancreatic cancer he very sadly passed away on 2nd March surrounded by his absolutely fantastic girlfriend, mother, sister, son Harry and step sons Joe and Charlie. I say step sons but he saw them as his own.
Ben was a very laid back and an often quiet man and as such this was probably a reason why not many people knew of his diagnosis. Although he was told what he had was terminal, it never stopped him being upbeat and optimistic, from the rigours of chemo to the bouts of sickness and pain he never once said “why me”. That is testament to the man I was lucky enough to call my brother and many of you would call a close friend and hold onto with great fondness. We all have a memory or memories of Ben and long may they thrive in all our thoughts and minds. Ben was unable to work for the last few months of his very short life coupled with the fact his partner also couldn’t as she cared for him 24hrs a day. Something we will appreciate for the rest of our lives. What she did for him was beyond belief and she never once gave up hope of one day Ben making a recovery. I kindly ask people who knew Ben if they wish to donate to this gofundme page to leave a gift for Harry, Bens 17 year old son that is just starting off in the world.
Funeral arrangements when known will be posted and we ask rather than sending floral tributes to please donate either to this page or to Macmillan as you see fit.
Thank you for your time and heartfelt messages so far.
big hugs.
