Bennito Gomez Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
By now you have most likely heard of the loss of Bennito (Ben) Gomez- father, son, brother, cousin, friend, and Marine.
Ben served proudly in the first phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. This experience left him with many unseen scars but his commitment to serving his country and those around him never waivered.
In 2011 Ben was in a car accident that left him paralyzed. This was, as he would say, just another battle to fight. Since then his loving personality, ability to have fun, making people laugh, and caring for others stayed strong.
Now it is time for us, his family to step into his shoes and continue to live. We have taken care of the burial expenses, but still have funeral expenses, bills, and quality of life expenses. Anything you can give will provide great comfort and support to the family at this time.
Thank you sincerely from all of us for your consideration to give. Your generosity will allow us to mourn our loss in peace.
I know there are a lot of processing fees with GoFundMe. Money can also be sent to me on cash app at $DianeGomezBurden
The Family of Bennito Gomez
Breakdown of expenses:
Cemetery and burial fees: $3814 - paid in full by the family.
Funeral, casket, honorariums (clergy etc.), death certificates, obituary postings, etc.: $7424.70
Anything raised beyond this will go to the family for paying hospital bills, utilities/groceries/etc.
UPDATE 2/11/2021:
We've reached our goal and GoFundme has served it's purpose so I'm disabling donations through this platform.
If you still wish to give, consider using my cash app (see above), reaching out to Ben's mom/kids directly, or send me a note on Facebook and I can make sure the money goes to the family.
