Bennett's Journey to Rowing World Championships
As a coxswain, Bennett Rossell and his crew won the USRowing trials and will be representing the USA at the World Rowing Beach Sprints Championship scheduled to take place September 24-26 . Bennett was also asked to cox two boats in the World Rowing Coastal Championship scheduled to take place October 1-3 in Oeiras, Portugal.
Bennett was on the USRowing Junior National team for three years, where he received two gold medals for the USA at the CanAmMex games coxing a Men's 4+ and Men's 8+ boat and is now one of the youngest rowers to ever be selected for the USRowing Senior National team. In addition to the coxswain, this mixed quad boat includes two female and two male rowers from across the country who also hold numerous gold medals and a world record for the USA in flat-water world events.
USRowing is only covering the cost of equipment and uniforms and is not sponsoring the crew's expenses, so Bennett and his crew will have to pay for all training, travel, and lodging expenses in the states and in Portugal.
If you would like to support the crew and Bennett with your GoFundMe, every donation will get us one stroke closer to Portugal.
