A tragedy happened to Ben Luong, who was a son, a brother, an uncle, a boyfriend, and a friend. He was shot about 10 times and he was doing so well in the hospital the day after surgery. He was awake and responsive he was making sure everyone was okay. When he was the one we should have been asking that question to. My brother was just an innocent bystander & a victim of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
To everyone who knew him he was the most sweet & caring person. He always just wanted to have fun and make the people around him laugh in the best way he can. He was always so thoughtful of others and wanted to be there for anybody who was ever down. Ben is the kind of person who anybody can count on. He was a hardworking person and didn't care about who he spends his money on, even when he was to his last dollar. He just wanted those around him to be happy.
On the first night he came in the doctor's already said he was probably not going to make it but he did! Ben fought long and hard and on the second day he was responsive and breathing on his own. We thought he was was going to make it through because he's been through so much before. I had so much hope in Ben because I know he's a fighter.
Today (February 15, 2015), Ben was weak and not responsive. His liver, kidney, and lung was already shot through. They tried clogging up the arteries to get the bleeding to stop because those organs couldn't run with all the dead blood tissue Ben was making. His heart and lungs started failing because all the toxins and medications they put in his blood.
He went through another surgery to try to take his colon, dead liver and dead kidney out but he couldn't take it anymore after they took out just the liver. We revived him three times before we knew we had to let him go. He was in so much pain and we could see it... We're sorry love.
We will miss your weird laughs and all the weird things that you do. You are known for being that weirdo that everyone enjoyed being around. To be honest you were the life of every party and everyone always asked to invite you. We can't imagine what it'll be like to be at home without you. You'd call me every night because you would forget your damn key and make us open the door at 3 AM. Who will wake me up now? Who will I depend on now? We love you Ben.
